Vincent Van Roy works as an Expert in the team of Innovation, Competitiveness and Sustainability at IDEA Consult since February 2023. In this role, he collaborates to the Assessment and Monitoring of Industrial Research, Innovation and Technologies in the field of clean renewable energy technologies and advanced materials in relation to the European Green Deal and the green transition (DG RTD). He is also involved in the evaluation and impact assessment of Flemish research organisations and governmental institutions.

Before joining IDEA, he worked for almost 10 years as a policy officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He holds a PhD in applied economics from the KU Leuven.
