Dagmar Croes
Dagmar is a consultant in the Regional and Local Governance team at IDEA Consult. Drawing on her background and her studies in Law (KU Leuven) and Sustainability Science, Policy & Society (Maastricht University), she works on bringing together policy, science, economics and society in projects on sustainable development. She does this with attention for the interfaces between ecological, social and economic aspects and from a multidisciplinary approach. She also provides stakeholder engagement support.
Previously, Dagmar worked at the European Commission on several projects where these issues were addressed. She was involved in the development of the European Green Deal and came into contact with various policy areas and topics related to it. Her work around the European Green Deal also included project management for the New European Bauhaus initiative, which looks at ‘the future of living’ in a participatory way. At DG MARE, she gained knowledge about EU grants in the coordination unit. She also helped coordinate the integration of strategic foresight for sustainable fisheries into the DG’s policy. This involved setting up an internal multidisciplinary Foresight Hub as well as initiating a foresight study ‘Fishers of the Future’.
