Following the evaluation of the Brussels Plan for Gender Mainstreaming and Equality between Women and Men and the Plan to Combat Violence against Women, we are continuing our work to promote inclusive and equitable public policy in Brussels. We are doing this by helping to evaluate two other regional plans supported by equal.brussels: the Brussels Plan for Disability Mainstreaming and the Brussels Plan against Racism.

Four complementary evaluations

These four missions form a coherent and ambitious whole, with the aim of analysing the Brussels regional equal opportunities policy and strengthening its effectiveness. They cover important themes:

• equality between men and women,
• prevention and combating gender-based violence,
• integration of people with disabilities
• the fight against racism.

Recognised expertise in the evaluation of public policy

Our approach is based on a rigorous methodology that combines documentary analysis, qualitative interviews and the formulation of concrete recommendations. In particular, we will use an institutional capacity evaluation framework. This approach not only makes it possible to measure the progress of the plans, but also to identify levers and obstacles and analyse the lasting impact of the plans on public institutions and Brussels society.

Thanks to our in-depth knowledge of the regional context and our experience in the field of social inclusion, we can draw useful lessons for the design of future equal opportunities plans.
