Lode Van Der Schueren is a grant advisor at the Regions & Local Governance department of IDEA. With a background in Public Administration and Management, he supports organizations and local authorities in making the most of available funding opportunities. Within IDEA, Lode focuses on Subsidiemanager and its associated services: from subsidy scans and intake sessions to hands-on grant applications, workshops, and subsidy design. He acts as a partner to refine project ideas and ensures a smooth translation between policy, funding through grants, and project implementation.

Previously, Lode applied his expertise at the City of Ghent (EVA PuurGent), with a strong focus on merchant participation and project management, and on the EFRO project ‘Onderneem Er Op Uit’ of the Province of East Flanders, where he supported local authorities in their economic policies. Before joining IDEA Consult, he completed the Lifelong Learning thematic program within the Voorsprong Fund at the Faculty of Economics and Business (UGent), emphasizing governance and the development of training programs.
