Alban is a Senior Consultant in the Regional & Urban Development team at IDEA Consult. He specializes in local and regional economic policy, policy evaluation, and intergovernmental cooperation. His academic background in Philosophy (UAntwerpen), Economics (UGent), and European Studies (KU Leuven) enables him to analyze policy issues from multiple perspectives and approach complex challenges in a structured way.

Before joining IDEA Consult, Alban worked at the Association of Flemish Provinces (VVP) and the Province of East Flanders, gaining experience in intergovernmental consultation, policy monitoring, and economic policy preparation. He notably supported the ERDF project Onderneem Er Op Uit, facilitated intervision processes between local governments, and served as an “in-house consultant” for five East Flemish municipalities.

At IDEA Consult, Alban supports local and regional authorities and intermediary organizations in developing, evaluating, and strengthening their economic policies, with a particular interest in evolving spatial-economic policy.
