An IDEA report or tool is rarely the work of just one colleague. It involves consultation, brainstorming, peer review and, on occasion, sending something back to the drawing board. That day-to-day collaboration runs just that little bit more smoothly when you know each other better. Hence the annual team day. This time, it took place on 11 September in Ghent.
The day kicked off at the Museum of Fine Arts, where, guided by Artshizzle and using works of art as inspiration, colleagues tried to coax as many personal facts out of one another as possible.
After lunch at Het Pakhuis, the team spread out across Ghent – in kayaks, on the Urban Hunt or in the Quiz Room. Winning was, of course, just as important as taking part.
In the evening, we gathered at the Wintercircus for a short guided tour, before ending the day at Le Bateau with a barbecue.
We had more than fifteen IDEA staff members celebrating their anniversaries. Among them was one particularly notable one: Valentijn Bilsen has been with IDEA for 25 years!
