Bart Van Herck is manager of the Regional and Urban Development department at IDEA Consult. In this role he has built up experience in Flemish and European impact measuring and policy evaluations. He is often called on for his expertise in local and regional development to assist on projects within regions, towns and districts.

Bart Van Herck has a Degree in Political Sciences (K.U. Leuven), and followed complementary studies at UGent and the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. Before joining IDEA Consult, he was Regional Manager for 11 years in Meetjesland (Oost-Vlaanderen) and he acquired experience as a replacement (Finance Manager) within a local council and as a cultural officer with the Flemish Community Commission.
