Miriam is a Senior Expert in the field of “Competitiveness and Innovation”. She has broad expertise in impact analysis and evaluation, monitoring instruments and general research methods. In terms of content, she has specialised in the different aspects of the knowledge-driven economy: knowledge creation and transfer, research careers, new skills, human capital in a transforming industry and local and more generally research and innovation policy in Flanders and internationally.

Miriam obtained her Degree in Business Engineering at the K.U. Leuven in 2004 and, a year later, completed the research-based Master in Science of Economics. The following two years she did research on the competitiveness of the retail market at the Centre of Economic Studies at the K.U. Leuven. Miriam has been working at IDEA Consult since February 2007.
