The Digital & Analytics colleagues work at the intersection of data, policy, and innovation, turning complex information into clear insights and practical tools for governments and organisations. Our team of economists, data scientists, and engineers combines public impact, creativity, and a pragmatic approach to solving real-world challenges.
We:
- Analyse data to inform policy and strategy
- Build dashboards, models, and tools that turn insight into action
- Develop innovative methods and explore AI, automation, and other new technologies
- Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable reports
What you actually will do
Bring your quantitative skills and curiosity for policy to tackle real societal challenges. Experiment with new methods, tools, and technologies and turn bold ideas into practical impact. Creativity is key: you thrive on designing innovative solutions, building reusable approaches, and empowering colleagues to make smarter use of data.
You take ownership, from analysis and coding to reporting, working independently or in teams and see continuous learning as both fuel and outcome of high-quality analytical work
What you will contribute
- Apply and deepen skills in data analysis and programming (e.g. SQL, Python, Web Development, Git)
- Conduct robust quantitative and statistical analyses to support policy studies and evaluations
- Design and develop analytical frameworks, indicators, and methodologies
- Translate analytical results into clear, structured, and policy-relevant insights and reports
- Contribute to tender proposals, including the design of methodological approaches and analytical tools
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from diverse backgrounds (policy experts, researchers, data scientists, developers)
- Where relevant, contribute to project coordination and client interactions
- Support colleagues in structuring analytical questions, datasets, and indicators in response to client needs
- Develop innovative, reusable analytical methods and tools that strengthen the team’s collective capacity
What you (idea)lly bring
- Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a strong asset
- Medior profile with several years of relevant experience in analytics, research, consultancy, or policy-related work
- Programming and strong quantitative background (statistics, data analysis, modelling, AI)
- Ability to write clearly and convincingly for policy audiences
- Strong interest in public policy and societal impact
- Curious and creative mindset, with enthusiasm for tools, programming, and new analytical approaches
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical colleagues and explain analyses in an accessible way
- Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable managing your own priorities
- Project management experience and client interaction are assets
Typical backgrounds include economics or social sciences with a strong quantitative focus, data science profiles with an interest in policy, or technical profiles with strong analytical and writing skills.
