Are you currently a Master’s or PhD student nearing the end of your studies and looking to gain hands-on experience in applied, research-based consultancy? Eager to deepen your expertise, learn new methods, and further develop your analytical and communication skills in a professional environment?
IDEA Consult is offering an internship opportunity within our Research, Innovation, Competitiveness team. We are looking for curious and motivated students ready to contribute to evidence-based policy and strategic advice in the following areas:
- Innovation & technology deployment
- Competitiveness & sustainability
- Science & research policy
Who are we looking for?
- You are a Master’s or PhD student (near completion) in economics, political sciences, innovation studies, science & technology studies, or a related field
- You have native or near-native proficiency in Dutch (essential for the role) and an excellent command of English
- You are analytical, curious, and motivated to apply your research skills to real-world policy challenges
What will you do & learn?
- Translate academic insights into actionable policy advice for public and private stakeholders
- Take your first steps in consultancy, combining rigorous research with societal impact
- Work closely with a dynamic team of over 75 researchers and consultants
- Contribute to project work through literature reviews, interviews, and data analysis
- Support project teams with client communication, proposal drafting, reporting, and presentations
Practical details
- This internship requires a formal internship agreement with your university or educational institution.
Start dates & end dates are flexible and aligned with academic requirements.
