Merel Joris has been working at IDEA Consult since January 2024. She graduated from Ghent University with a master’s degree in pedagogical sciences education. This makes her familiar with pedagogical action in contexts where learning and development are central. For her master’s thesis, she investigated whether gamification could contribute to raising awareness about tapeworm infection among pupils in Zambia. After this, she started working as a project officer in Community Education on a project on digital learning tools. During this project, she developed a quality framework in the form of an e-learning to support teachers in developing digital learning tools.
