Wim Van der Beken is Director of IDEA Consult and combines an economic background with extensive knowledge of Flemish socio-economic policy. He has a degree in Economic Sciences and a Master of Arts in Economics. He was the Director of the VEV study department until August 1998 and was also a member of the Board of the SERV and the VESOC. He became co-founder and General Manager of IDEA Consult in September 1998.

Wim Van der Beken has extensive project experience in strategic planning and assisting on complex processes. His key field of expertise is in evaluation research and strategic advice for governments and organisations.
