NEB is an interdisciplinary policy initiative that brings the green transition to our (living) spaces in a way that is enjoyable, attractive, and convenient for all. The initiative promotes sustainable and inclusive solutions, while being respectful of the diversity of people, places, traditions and cultures in Europe and beyond. Because even the smallest communities on the ground deserve living spaces that improve their well-being and sense of belonging. 

NEB focuses on local impact by engaging communities and providing tailored support. It integrates input from various stakeholders to ensure inclusive and effective design. While prioritizing people and social inclusion, they also strengthen the economy and enhance the EU’s strategic autonomy. 

the NEB initiative truly is a collaborative effort with a community of 806 Official Partners, 199 NEB Prize winners & finalists, 27 National Contact Points, over 230 Friends (companies and public authorities) and more than 200 NEB calls’ beneficiaries.. 

We are excited to strengthen and expand our European network and to be part of such a diverse and inspiring community!
