IDEA Consult is an independent research and consultancy firm that has been supporting governments and organizations in strategic and evidence-based decision-making for 25 years. From innovation policy to sustainability, from science strategy to impact evaluations — we do it with our heads and our hearts. Our clients are mainly governments and intermediary organizations, both local and international.

What to expect?

From day one, you will be involved in projects related to, among other things:

• Innovation & technology policy
• Sustainability & competitiveness
• Research and science policy
• Impact measurements & evaluations

Your role is broad: you will read and synthesize policy and literature, collect and analyze data (both qualitative and quantitative), support interviews and workshops, and contribute to reports and presentations. You will be given responsibility in all project phases: from quotation to presentation to the client.

We are looking for someone who

• has a university master’s degree, preferably in economics, (policy) sciences or a related field
• already has some experience in research or consultancy (academic or professional)
• is passionate about innovation, sustainability and policy
• is analytically strong, data-minded and methodologically sound
• can communicate clearly and perfectly – both in writing and verbally – in Dutch and English
• works proactively, is flexible and a team player with a critical eye
