Jeff Van Ouytsel
Jeff graduated as a sociologist (University of Antwerp, 2000) and, after a period of social science research and teaching supervision, gained extensive experience in strategic government management.
He collaborated for many years in the development and application of the policy and management cycle within the local government of the city of Antwerp. The development and operationalisation of objective frameworks and integrated strategic-financial policy planning are part of his professional baggage, as is the setting up of follow-up and monitoring instruments (indicators, dashboards, etc.).
Jeff also combines thorough methodological insights with extensive practical experience in organisational design and development. He developed frameworks for project, process and programme management and regularly acts as project and programme leader himself. Among other things, he was responsible for the corporatisation of the Antwerp Assistance Zone, the transition of city and OCMW, the establishment of autonomous municipal companies to manage Antwerp’s cultural institutions and the merger of the city of Antwerp with the municipality of Borsbeek.
Jeff strongly believes in the importance of a solid and widely supported strategy and clear operationalisation as the basis for effective and efficient public organisations. He is therefore the right partner to work with for realistic answers to complex issues of strategy and governance.
