Ditte Kimps
Ditte Kimps is an expert in education and lifelong learning. Her expertise lies where work, education and learning meet. She combines experience from academia, the private market and government.
Ditte worked intensively on lifelong learning as coordinator of the expertise centre for innovative learning paths of the Department of Work & Social Economy. Before that she was a staff member of the study department of SYNTRA Vlaanderen and followed up themes such as workplace learning, e-learning and STEM. Ditte has 7 years of experience as a researcher at KU Leuven, and over 5 years as a computer linguist in the research & development team of speech technology companies. She has a master’s degree in Germanic languages, complemented by studies in social and cultural anthropology, teacher training and a doctorate in linguistics.
