Future-oriented positioning of Bokrijk
What potential exists for Bokrijk to draw foreign tourists to Limburg/Flanders? To answer this question posed by Tourism Flanders, IDEA Consult analysed Bokrijk's current and desired positioning in consultation with all parties directly involved. This resulted in a variety of future-oriented recommendations: redefining the basic positioning and brand values, advisable adjustments to the concept and product of Bokrijk, optimisation of visitor management, adjustments to communications and promotions, partnerships and networking, status and organisational structure, etc. Based on this report, Bokrijk opted for the "optimum scenario", which emphasises a fundamental repositioning as a total product (open-air museum and nature park). This includes the updated museum as a driving force plus a number of other resulting adjustments. An implementation process is currently being prepared for this.
