Doctiris

IDEA Consult was mandated by the Science Policy Council of the Brussels Capital Region and the Regional Innovation Agency INNOVIRIS to conduct a study on Knowledge Transfers in the context of the Doctiris Programme. Doctiris is one of the few European industrial PhD programmes that operates the link between science and industry. Based on a multi-dimensional framework, the IDEA Consult team made use of a systemic qualitative analysis. Our team assessed the Doctiris state of play regarding knowledge transfers as well as barriers to these transfers. It also benchmarked Doctiris with three other similar programmes: the French CIFRE, the Danish Industrial PhD Programme, and the Flemish Baekeland Mandaten. On the basis of the resulting analyses, conclusions and prospective tracks were formulated as to provide the Science Policy Council with appropriate strategic intelligence regarding the trajectory and possible evolution of Doctiris.
