Cultural and tourism dimension of the Ghent Citadel Park

Commissioned by the Urban Development and Spatial Planning Department of the city of Ghent, IDEA Consult provided expert advice regarding the positioning of the Citadel Park as a cultural park and tourist attraction. This advice was considered necessary because the activities of the Citadel Park Master Class that preceded this had been focused primarily on the total spatial vision, the reassessment of the park’s function and the use of the Kuipke, Ghent’s velodrome. As a result, the positioning of the park in terms of culture and tourism remained less developed.
