Developing human capital through education & lifelong learning
In the context of a strongly evolving labour market and society, a genuine lifelong learning culture is becoming increasingly important. Additionally, the training offer needs to be adapted to a changing demand and changing ways of learning and teaching.
We advise stakeholders and policy makers on how to bridge the skills gap by stimulating this lifelong learning culture and by supporting the future-proof development of the training offer. Do training incentives for workers and organisations impact participation in lifelong learning? How should policy makers adjust their training incentives to new forms of learning like e-learning? How can schools, companies and sectors work together to keep the competencies of VET teachers up to date? Do internationalization and learner mobility improve the level of key competences and skills? How should VPL be organized given its costs and benefits?
