Additional funding

Access to finance is a specific challenge for many cultural, artistic and heritage organisations. Forcing limited public resources to create as many levers as possible on subsidies. Traditional market financing is often not available due to (perceived) high funding risks.  At the same time, we have recently seen developments in the financing world that offer interesting ideas for additional funding of culture. These include crowdfunding, impact investing or venture philanthropy, where financiers not only strive for profit maximisation but also for social impact.
