Simon Stroo has been working as a consultant and researcher within the Real Estate and Territorial Development team since September 2021.
Simon obtained a Master in Civil Engineering at the University of Ghent and a complementary Master in Landscape Architecture at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. In addition, Simon obtained a Master in Real Estate (MRE) at the Antwerp Management School in 2021. In his thesis he developed an investment fund as an alternative financing instrument to realise the building shift in Flanders and keep it affordable from the perspective of the Flemish government.
Since 2014, he has gained experience as a project architect in realising concrete building projects and feasibility studies in both the private and public sector. In addition, he was also responsible for the drafting of several master plans in Flanders.
Within IDEA Consult, Simon works as a consultant Real Estate and Territorial Development on market and financial feasibility studies of spatial projects, strategic vision creation and evaluation and advice with regard to urban development, real estate and territorial development. This for governments as well as private developers and investors in various market segments.
