Kris Boschmans (Ph.D.)

Kris is a senior researcher with almost two decades of experience in policy advice and research. He is passionate about innovation and science, SME and entrepreneurship policy and finance, and has extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as data management.

He joined IDEA Consult in June 2023. Prior to that period, he was a senior researcher at the EFIS Centre and worked for eight years at the OECD (at the Development Centre and the Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities). He has also been employed by the Belgian Government, an employer’s association and in academia. Kris holds a PhD in applied economics from the University of Antwerp.
